Sterling Stevens

Sterling Stevens founded Proform Fitness in 2013 with the intentions of helping men and women improve their overall health and vitality. 

​

With the goal to motivate and show men and women how to achieve long term health and vitality as they age, he specializes in helping men and women not only look the part but feel and perform better in all aspects of life.

 

Aging is a part of life but the negative aspects of it don't have to be. He wants to help slowdown the effects of aging with personalized fitness plans designed to to not only improve your body but balance your sexual, mental and physical health.

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Sterling now lives in Langford, BC with his partner and their three children. He operates his business and gym from his home and loves the life he and his family are creating for themselves. 

​

When sterling was younger, he struggled with addiction to the point where he had to fight to overcome it or be a victim of it. With the amazing support of his family and his determination to better himself, he fought addiction and has been bettering himself ever since. 

​

Since then he has been working on taking care of himself while being a loving father, son, and brother. He began a career in mental health where he took care of foster children and later went on to begin his physical health journey.

​

Sterling grew up as a really skinny and tall kid; he had always had insecurity around his body image due to being so underweight his whole life. He was young when he noticed people commenting on his body and it made him want to change and feel better about himself and proud of his body. 

​

Personal training became a place where he found solitude. Having overcome everything he had, he wanted to help other men like himself to realize that adversity is nothing if your mind is in the right place. He wasn’t able to turn his life around until he decided it was time and worked on his mental health as well as his physical. This is why he is so passionate about personal training - he knows how transformational and powerful it can be to change your life in this way.

Sterling believes in efficiency when it comes to training and getting the most from the least. He uses a mixture of science backed training methods combined with a focus on hard work, perfecting your form and execution of the exercises. He doesn't offer any magic diets or out of the box exercises to his clients because he knows that it comes down to you putting in the hard work. Instead, he focuses on educate clients by providing them with the tools and support they need to make the absolute most from their time spent training.

 

He helps you spend more time training in an efficient way by eliminating the overwhelm of not knowing what will work by showing them the most efficient ways to reach their goals.

Sterling has spent the last 10 years developing a training system through finding out what works for him and his clients. He specializes in building training and diet programs for men with busy lives by using a low volume high intensity focused training system by building individual, personalized programs that are focused on fitting into their busy lifestyle.
